Winter foods are warming, comfort foods, but the downside is that most people stack on the weight over the cold months. As the thermometer rises the foods we eat become less hearty and we are able to get outside more and be more active which helps when trying to lose weight. Cutting back on calories a week before special occasions, gives you some to spend on enjoying the meal. You should pay attention to the food you choose at any event and pick things that are lower calorie and low fat if you can.
