Shaun P, the inventor of the Tangle Teezer knotted hair detangler has certainly come a long way since he was turned down for investment by the multi-millionaire investors on Dragon’s Den. Since appearing on the show, Shaun P has turned his Tangle Teezer hair brush business into a very fast growing and profitable business.

The Tangle Teezer is now sold nationwide in Boots stores and has won a slew of awards, including:

The Times ‘Top 25 Products for Hair of 2009′
GRAZIA Magazine ‘Best In’ Awards 2008
Professional Hairdresser – Top Product Award 2008

Where does the Tangle Teezer go from here? Well, Shaun plans to expand internationally and have his detangling hair brush available in every major country in the world. From humble beginnings to running an international concern is a massive accomplishment indeed. Shaun’s story is one of perserverence and utter belief in his invention, many people will identify with his story and hopefully learn a valuable lesson.

So how does the Tangle Teezer knotted hair detangler actually work?

The Tangle Teezer is a uniquely designed detangling hairbrush. Upon picking it up you will instantly notice that the hair comb teeth are not like that of an ordinary hair brush. This is the ingenious bit. Its uniquely designed teeth flex just the right amount to detangle and help smooth the hair’s cuticle, which in turn protects the inner cortex of the hair shaft from damage.

After using the Tangle Teezer, you will start noticing that your hair appears more lustrous. This is achieved by minimising cuticle damage, which in turn will help colour last and reduce the risk of fading. The hair shaft is also better prepared for the onslaught of damage from heat styling tools. Shaun likes to call it “first aid for hair”.

The Tangle Teezer may not look like anything out of the ordinary, and that’s why you really really need to try it to believe exactly how good it is. It’s makes a perfect present too! The recipient will remember you forever.
